What we collect,
and what we never do.
1828 Couture is buyer-side. We make money when you buy a bag through a referral link — never by selling your data. This page says, in plain terms, exactly what we hold and why.
The short version
- We collect only what you type into the watchlist form: your email, the bag you want, your target price, condition preference and country.
- We use it for one thing: to alert you when a matching listing appears. Nothing else.
- We never sell, rent, or share your email or preferences.
- You can leave at any time — every alert carries a one-click unsubscribe.
What we collect
Watchlist details. When you join, we store the email address and watch preferences you enter, plus the date you consented and the page you joined from. That is the whole record.
Anonymous usage. We use privacy-light, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to count page views and understand which bags people look at. It does not fingerprint you or follow you across other sites.
We do not ask for, want, or store payment details, addresses, dates of birth, or any government ID. If a page ever seems to ask for those, it is not us — do not enter them.
How we use it
Your email and preferences exist to power alerts and, if you opt in, an occasional watchlist digest. We use a double opt-in: you confirm your address before we send anything. We keep a timestamped record of that consent and the privacy version you agreed to, because that is the honest way to run a mailing list.
Affiliate links & cookies
When you click through to a marketplace (for example eBay) and buy, we may earn a referral fee. That is disclosed on-site, and it never changes which listing we signal to you — the cheapest genuine listing wins regardless of who pays us. The marketplace sets its own cookie at that point under its privacy policy, not ours; we do not receive your purchase details.
Third parties we rely on
- Cloudflare — hosting, security and cookieless analytics.
- Marketplaces (e.g. eBay) — we read public listing data to show prices and build deep-links. We do not send them your watchlist.
- An email provider — used only to deliver the alerts you asked for.
We share the minimum required for each to do its job, and nothing more.
How long we keep it
We hold your watchlist record for as long as you want alerts. Unsubscribe and we stop sending immediately; ask us to erase it and we delete the record. Price history we keep is about bags, not people — it contains no personal data.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe — one click in any alert.
- Access or delete — email us and we will show or erase what we hold about you.
- Decline non-essential cookies — our analytics is cookieless, so there is little to decline; anything optional stays off unless you say otherwise.
Children
1828 Couture is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, for anything significant, tell subscribers by email. Questions about your data, or a request to see or delete it, go to privacy@1828couture.com.
